We were still busy to prepare Osechi all day and we also had to be ready for Szilveszter food, which is "Toshikochi-Soba", we have to eat soba-noodle st the end of year, my Mom made Ebi-Tempura for the soba.
I went to Buddhist temple in my neighbor, traditionally the bell has to be struck 108 times, at the midnight -Year 2009!- there were no fireworks like Budapest, you could hear only the sounds of bell, it was nice.
