Things to do for New Year

When I got home in Tokyo on december 29, My Mom was already very busy for making "Osechi" in her kitchen.

This is "Kuri-Kinton" mashed sweet potato with sweet chestnuts,
my favorite Osechi since I was little, very sweet!

Kobu-Maki -Kelp(Kombu) roll, My mom uses dried herring for filling.

The end of year, we have to clean up all the rooms, the entrance of our house too,

Then "O-kazari" New Year's Decoration on the house gates by December 30.

Nice flowers at the inside of entrance too, good work Mom!

We worked, so we had lunch,

"Kagami-mochi" for our family's "Butsudan"

More cooking,

and more...
